Crowd-sourcing tool

The Big Hack, by Scope: equality for disabled people

We want businesses to improve their services for disabled customers.

This is why Scope has built a crowd-sourcing tool. It gathers disabled people's experiences of industries we all rely on. This helps Scope inform businesses, regulators and government what needs to change.

There are currently no active surveys running, you can join the newsletter to be the first to hear when we have a new survey out.

What is the Big Hack crowd-sourcing tool?

To put it simply: it’s a surveying tool. But it’s made with accessibility at it’s core.

We want to capture the voices of as many disabled people as possible to drive the change we want to see in society.

We want businesses to remove the barriers that make life harder for disabled people, and limit their consumer power.

Insights gathered through this crowd-sourcing tool allows us to identify industry-wide patterns which need to change. We’re taking this insight back to businesses, regulators and government to campaign for change.

Real comments from users

"I appreciate the fact that this organisation has provided a platform to raise these concerns so consumers with disabilities and conditions can put forward their input and be heard."

"I bank and pay my bills online, but being a slow typist because of my Parkinson's, they can time-out before I finish."

"Having to root around websites for physical businesses, public services to find accessibility information. Websites should provide information clearly, upfront."

"I hope the companies actually take the feedback on board."

"Many websites include descriptions for images that are unnecessary and not useful."

"It's frustrating in a time when most people have internet in their homes and on their phones that there are still inaccessible sites and apps."
